Controversial private investigator Jane Mugo has declared interest in seeking elective office during the August 9, 2022, General Elections.
The private detective has hinted that she intends to succeed Wangui Ngirici as Kirinyaga County Woman Representative in next year's polls.
Taking to social media, Mugo stated that she intends to serve the people of Kirinyaga to the best of her ability and assured them that she will work tirelessly to get elected.
She said that she is always motivated by giving back to society and feels that the Woman Representative position gives her the best opportunity to do exactly that.
Since making the announcement, she is yet to hint which political vehicle she will use to clinch the seat.

The incumbent, Ngirici, has since declared her interest in the Kirinyaga gubernatorial seat and will battle it out against Governor Anne Waiguru.
The latter recently joined the United Democratic Alliance and the two are expected to battle it out for the party nomination ticket.
Mgo has hit the headlines over the years for her involvement in investigative work.
In 2019, she was the talk of the town after the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) labelled her a wanted criminal after an expose' of a case she had investigated was aired on national television.
She was recently on the headlines for aiding the police to arrest a notorious criminal that has been defrauding Kenyans online.
Mugo prides herself in bringing down criminals who continue to terrorise society.
