Narok Senator Ledama Ole Kina has been sued over child support by a woman who claims the senator has neglected their one-year-old child.
She is seeking Ksh.350,000 in monthly upkeep.
According to the figures in the court documents, the monthly stipend has been broken down as follows: house help Ksh.17,000, food Ksh.50,000, medical Ksh.40,000, shelter Ksh.80,000, clothing Ksh.50,000, entertainment Ksh.43,000, utility bills Ksh.50,000 and service charge of Ksh.20,000.
She is also seeking orders, pending the hearing of her petition, to have the senator compelled to pay Ksh.200,000 a month, in child support.

According to the court papers, the woman claims to have met the senator sometime in 2019, after which a whirlwind romance ignited, and whose results were the birth of the minor in October 2020.
She claims that after notifying the senator of her pregnancy, he had cut all communications with her off.
“When I conceived and realized I was pregnant, I immediately informed the respondent that he was going to be a father.” the court papers quote her as saying.
“But to my dismay and utter shock the respondents cut off communication with me,”
The woman also claims that the senator has shown no interest in knowing or even meeting the minor since birth.
“I was left with no other choice but to settle all the cost and bills during the pregnancy, scans, birthing without any involvement or assistance of the respondent," the court papers say.
She has also attached to the suit, all the medical bills as well as the expenses accruing from her pregnancy.
The mother of one further adds that she lost her job after giving birth, which has further strained her, and drained he fiances as she raises the minor single-handedly.
The senator has yet to respond to the suit.
