33 Maria Consolata Teachers Training College students at Isiolo college have been locked out of the final Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) exams.
This is after the principal of the Isiolo-based college failed to pay their examinations fees.
The students accused the principal of pocketing up to Ksh250,000 which was to cater for the exams.
Reports indicate that the school principal has since been arrested and is set to be questioned over failure to pay the KNEC examinations fee.
The students have since called upon Education Cabinet Secretary Prof George Magoha to intervene and help them sit for the examinations to avert further suffering.
The students are pursuing Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE).
Accompanied by parents and guardians, the agonised students were stranded at the school, shook by the unfoldings.
According to a timetable issued by KNEC, rehearsal for the examinations was on Monday, November 29, 2021.
The exams were slated to kick off on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, and conclude on Thursday, December 2, 2021.
