A section of Kabete residents has staged demonstrations to protest the killings of five civilians by a police officer.
This comes after a police constable identified as Benson Imbatu went on a killing spree shooting dead his wife and five civilians before turning the trigger on himself.
The incident happened around 3 am.
In a show of anger, the residents barricaded Waiyaki Way road, burnt tyres, and asked for answers over the murder of their colleagues by the police officer.
"Why are they killing our people? They never help us with anything. Why are they killing innocent souls and leaving several others fighting for their lives in Kenyatta National Hospital?" one of the protesting youth asked.

"This is pathetic. I was with one of the victims yesterday. This is really sad. Are they trained to protect lives or to finish us?" another posed.
Among those killed are two bodaboda riders. The bodaboda riders had woken up to deliver loaves of bread to various shops.
Three other people killed are mourners who had attended burial preparations for one of their own.
Two other people who sustained injuries are undergoing treatment at Kenyatta National Hospital.
The officer is said to have also set ablaze his house at J Heights Apartments near N Market.
The motive of the officer's killing spree is yet to be established even as investigations continue.
