Deputy President William Ruto's digital strategist Dennis Itumbi has been found hours after reports indicated the he had been kidnapped.
Elgeyo Marakwet Senator said they found the blogger alive but raised an alarm that he was badly beaten.
The Senator further said that they had taken him to the hospital for treatment.
"Our brother Dennis Itumbi has been found ALIVE. Badly beaten," he wrote on Facebook.

Murkomen also alleged that that Itumbi was beaten by police officers.
"Glad to see our brother Dennis Itumbi is alive. Sad to see him in such pain. Hopeful that he will bounce back stronger.
"Appalled that Police officers who should be protecting him harmed him. May his tormentors who are enjoying power never know peace. Politics shouldn’t be done this way," he added.
Leaders allied to the DP had promised to keep vigil until Itumbi's captors let him loose.
Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei was also among those who said they will not retreat until itumbi is set free.
Itumbi is said to have been abducted by three men at Thindigua area along Kiambu Road while on his way out from a barbershop,
His whereabouts remained mysterious as his close friends and relatives unsuccessfully trace him using his phone's signals.
He was later reported found on the wee hours of Friday, December 24.
