Former Rift Valley Regional Commissioner George Natembeya now says he is in support of the Handshake team as the country heads to the 2022 polls.
The team comprises leaders who support President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga Handshake.
The former regional commissioner on Monday said he has worked well with President Uhuru and he, therefore, does not intend to be against his political camp.
"My political camp is that which the President will direct me. I have worked well with Uhuru, it cannot be because of politics that I lose my principles and start disobeying him. It will worst form of betrayal if the President tells me to go this way and I fail to heed. I won't do that," Natembeya told Radio Citizen.

" I have been engaging the president regularly on my political ambitions, it is not something that I woke and just announced. Being the RC, I engage the President regularly and we have been talking about that," he added.
Natembeya, who is eyeing the Trans Nzoia governor seat, also exuded confidence that he is best suited to address the needs of his county residents.
He said he has got enough experience to run the county and deliver good results to residents.
Natembeya resigned last week and he is currently serving his notice as he clears from the public service.
He served the government for over 25 years.
