A section of rowdy youth has demolished a podium where deputy president William Ruto's team is expected to address a rally this Friday.
The team that will include ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi and Ford Kenya's Moses Wetang'ula is scheduled for a rally today where they will drum up support for their Kenya Kwanza Alliance.
Deputy President William Ruto who has been on a private mission in Dubai is expected to attend the rally.
The DP has been missing in action in the last three days to attend to a private business.
Kilifi North MP Owen Baya blamed Governor Amason Kingi for intimidating other political leaders planning to hold political rallies in the county.
All parties involved have been summoned to the Deputy County Commissioner's office to settle the matter.
According to reports, the demolition was caused by a land dispute.
Pamoja African Alliance party youth leader Samir Nyundo is said to have supervised the destruction of the venue saying the structures had been mounted on his land without consent.
Jonathan Nyundo, a relative to Samir, is reported to have given the UDA team a green light to host the rally at the venue.
