President Uhuru Kenyatta is expected to address leaders and members of the public from the Mount Kenya region in Nyeri at the Sagana State Lodge today, Wednesday, February 23, 2022.

In the meeting that has been dubbed 'Sagana III', reports indicate that the Head of State is expected to address his fallout with Deputy President William Ruto and issue a direction to the mountain ahead of the August 9, general elections.

Analysts and a section of leaders allied to President Kenyatta have also claimed that he is expected to endorse the Presidential ambitions of ODM leader Raila Odinga.


Images that have since dominated social media show multitudes of people headed to Sagana ahead of the meeting with Uhuru.

Transport along the road has since been paralysed as police barricaded the road leading up to Sagana. People were forced to alight and walk on foot.
