ODM secretary general Edwin Sifuna has warned those who do not belong to the list of members required to attend the party's National Governing Council from turning up.
In a statement, Sifuna listed members authorized to attend and said they are the only ones who will be given entry in accordance with the party's constitution.
He urged party members not to mistake NGC for National Delegates Conference saying the latter is scheduled for tomorrow (Saturday).
"@TheODMparty NGC is composed of the members listed below. Kindly note that the NDC is tomorrow (Saturday) and only members of the NGC need to come to Bomas today (Friday).
The members authorised to attend the NGC include:
- All members of the National Executive Committee
- All Chairperson of County Coordinating Committees
- All Chairperson of the Branch executive. Committees
- All members of the party Parliamentary group
- All members of the council of Governors
- All members of the National Elections Board
- All majority or minority leaders of County Assemblies.
- All chairperson of Party's standing committees.
- All national officials of the ODM women league
- All national officials of the ODM youth league
- All national officials of the ODM disability league
The ODM NGC is set to ratify a host of measures which include approving the endorsement of the ODM leader Raila Odinga for the Presidency.
The NDC set for tomorrow will bring together delegates across the country and that will be a large congregation compared to the NGC.
The Saturday will culminate in a joint meeting with Jubilee that will see Raila unveiled as the Azimio La Umoja flagbearer.
