President Uhuru Kenyatta has chided his deputy William Ruto accusing him of being an opposition leader in a government he was elected to serve.
Speaking during the ODM NDC held at Kasarani gymnasium on Saturday, the President blamed his deputy for endless politicking saying he refused to focus on the implementation of government projects.
The Head of State said he was forced to seek the help of the ODM leader Raila Odinga to counter the plan by some people to sabotage his legacy.
"There are some people whom we were elected together with. Instead of working, they chose to do politics.

"I saw their plan and strategy because I had they had counted numbers of our MPs and said they are going to use parliament to push their agenda. As a man who sees far, I had to bring the ODM leader on board so that Implement my agenda," Uhuru said.
The President went on to defend his handshake with the ODM leader saying it had brought calm to the country and allowed him to implement various development projects.
He told off Ruto camp for labelling Raila a state project saying that the opposition chief can only be a project of Kenyans.
Uhuru endorsed the Azimio La Umoja movement even as he declared that he will back it for the Presidency.
