Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has for the first time disclosed how Deputy President William Ruto tried using Moses Wetangula to stop him from joining Azimio la Umoja.
According to Kalonzo, they were supposed to meet to discuss the same, but it never came to pass, and they are still waiting for the meet up.
He went on to say that if the meeting ever came, he would ask the deputy president to drop his presidential bid, if indeed he loves the country.
"They sent my friend Wetangula but we never met, we are still waiting to meet. If they think they can convince me, I'll tell them to drop this bid and if they love this country. I will look at William Ruto and tell him to drop this bid," Kalonzo said.
Kalonzo spoke barely a week after he signed a deal to work with ODM leader Raila Odinga under Azimio where the latter is the presidential candidate.

During the interview, he also talked about his friendship with the Bungoma Senator saying that he misses Wetangula and prays for him to leave Kenya Kwanza and join him in Azimio.
The former vice president stated that he had struggled and suffered with Wetangula adding that the latter might join him.
"I pray every day and night for Wetangula to leave Kenya Kwanza and join Azimio la Umoja," Kalonzo said.
