Blogger Robert Alai will now vie for the Kileleshwa Ward seat.
A poster bearing Alai's name, image has emerged announcing the candidature of the blogger for the Kileleshwa ward, Nairobi County.
This comes days after he announced that he will not be vying for the Nyando Parliamentary seat.
He said the incumbent MP had gained the support of the ground hence his decision to bolt out of the race.

He cited an opinion poll conducted that showed the incumbent MP Jared Okeyo Odoyo.
"I bought 4 specific poll data which were of great interest to me. The 3 firms consistently showed me that I had a chance to be Nyando MP in 2021 but the tyranny of CDF which the incumbent holds changes things in the blink of an eye. So I never applied for nomination in the Nyando Constituency. All polls show that Jared Okello is still the strongest aspirant in the race," Alai said.
It is in that backdrop that the blogger on Wednesday announced that he will go for the MCA seat.
ODM party has been using opinion polls to determine the popularity of candidates.
Candidates who have shown a commanding lead are issued with direct tickets in a move that seeks to help the party save on costs.
"Being a Computer Science graduate, I am an ardent consumer of data and a realist. I don’t engage in politics for my ego. I believe in consuming data and respecting it," Alai noted.
Alai will be seeking the Kileleshwa ward seat on the ODM party ticket.
The blogger has been supporting the ODM leader Raila Odinga for the presidency.
