ODM Party Leader Raila Odinga has landed in Washington DC for a week-long tour of the United States of America.
Raila, who is in the company of several Azimio la Umoja leaders including Narc Kenya’s Martha Karua, landed in the US on Saturday night.
He is expected to meet various key groups including high-ranking leaders in the US government ahead of the August 9 2022 general elections.
In a statement released by his campaign secretariat, the former premier together with his entourage will hold meetings with among others, senior US government officials, senior members of the United States Congress, and key African-African leaders.

He will also be expected to hold talks with the US think Thanks and diaspora Kenyans living in the country.
"Touchdown: Washington DC for a working week. Looking forward to a robust, interactive series of engagements over the next couple of days" tweeted Raila after arriving to the US.
Raila was the first one to arrive and was later joined by Martha Karua who touched down at Dulles International Airport a few moments after Raila arrived.

The Narc Kenya party leader was later welcomed by Kenyans living in the USA at Swahili Village, a local East African restaurant in the US.
Among the leaders who accompanied Raila on his trip included; Kisii Governor James Ongwae, his Kakamega Counterpart Wycliffe Oparanya, Kajiado Central lawmaker Elijah Memusi, Homabay County Senator Moses Kajwang, Homabay Town MP Peter Kaluma, ODM Chairman John Mbadi, Nairobi Woman Rep Esther Passaris.
Others were Mombasa Businessman Suleiman Shabhal, Raila’s Campaign Spokesperson Prof Makau Mutua, former Kenya Ambassador to the US Elkanah Odembo, and several members of the Campaign Secretariat.
