Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi could be on his way out of the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance.
The Governor's Pamoja African Alliance Party has written to the Registrar of Political Parties seeking to exit the outfit.
The party in a notice now says it wants to disengage the Raila Odinga led Azimio and also withdraw its signature from the coalition agreement deposited in March this year.
This comes after the party held its NEC meeting on Monday 25, where it agreed to exit the outfit.
“The PAA NEC in a meeting held on 25th April 2022 resolved that the ratification of the agreement signed on 5th April 2022 be and is hereby declined,” read a section of the letter from the party.

"Despite signing the agreement 20 days ago, no copies have been supplied…consequently, the intended membership of PAA party in Azimio coalition party howsoever ceases forthwith.”
The party says it has been kept in the dark concerning the running of the Azimio Coalition.
"PAA has never been and declines to be a member of the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition party," the party said.
A report by Citizen Tv indicates that Governor Kingi could be on his way to the Kenya Kwanza team that is seeking to solidify his support base in the coastal region.
A number of parties in the alliance have been lamenting over exclusion in the running of the affairs of the party.
Some have publicly said they have not been consulted in the making of key decisions that affect the outfit.
