Deputy President William Ruto has been sidelined in the BBI signature launch drive.
The official program guide shows that Ruto is not among those scheduled to speak at the event to be held at the KICC.
By press time, the event was already behind schedule as guests were supported to be seated by 9:30 at the KICC COMESA grounds.
At 10 am, President Uhuru Kenyatta and the First Lady Margaret Kenyatta were escorted by Nairobi Regional Commissioner James Kianda to the venue.
The ceremony is expected to begin with both the National and East African community anthem; after that, there will be prayers.

The program shows that former Prime Minister Raila Odinga will be the first to sign the BBI form.
The form was approved by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) yesterday.
The launch of the signature collection was initially scheduled for Thursday last week. It was postponed, with the Secretariat citing late completion and publication of The Constitution Amendment Bill 2020 by the Government Printer.
According to the proposed format, a registered voter will have to fill in their name, identity or passport number, county, constituency, ward, polling station, mobile number, email address and a signature or thumbprint.
