Celebrated Kenyan comedian Eric Omondi has hit out at Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) CEO Ezekiel Mutua over his recent comments targeted towards him.
Addressing the media on Wednesday, Mutua took issue with a video done by Eric Omondi where he was shirtless and did not put an age limit.
According to Mutua, Eric enjoys massive following and has influence among the youth; therefore he should at least put an age limit to cushion young viewers from consuming content that may negative influence on them.
“You find artists such as Eric Omondi recording themselves in compromising postures and then he claims to be the African President for Comedy. Respect yourself and the kids. Put a disclaimer on your videos and let everyone know it is for the adults. We are not here to protect adults but kids. We do not want to lose control,” Mutua said.

Responding to Ezekiel Mutua, Eric claimed that the KFCB boss was using his name for ‘cheap publicity stunts’.
He urged Mutua to stop using his name as he does not understand his journey and the process that got him to where he is now.
Eric further noted that Ezekiel Mutua should visit his studio and get a first-hand experience of what he and his team are doing for the Kenyan youth.
