Makueni MP Dan Maanzo now says that he has advised his Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka to go back to ODM leader Raila Odinga's Azimio camp.
In a statement, Maanzo said the Wiper boss should return to Azimio and address issues of concern adding that his entry into the presidential race would be insignificant considering it is a two-horse race.
"I have requested Kalonzo to reconsider running for Presidency and rectify whatever issue he has with Azimio, clearly, we have two major competitors in the country and it only makes sense if we work together," Maanzo said.

Wiper party officials on Monday asked Ruto to return to Azimio for structured talks to address the stalemate.
The officials asked Kalonzo to exhaust all dispute resolution mechanisms within the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition party.
"There is a dispute resolution mechanism under that alliance, so we are asking our party leader that we do consider the possibility of having further discussions on this coalition arrangement," organizing secretary Robert Mbui said.
He spoke after the meeting that was also attended by at least 500 party aspirants.
Kalonzo is said to be out of the country for a private trip to the United Kingdom.
Mbui said the reason the Wiper party decided to bolt out of Azimio and declare that Kalonzo would vie for the presidency was that there was initially no room for discussions.
He, however, said the meeting had resolved that the interests of the country outweigh that of the party.
