The victims are believed to have been heading home.
"One occurred at Kivaani market whereby there was a watchman who was walking home at around midnight. He was waylaid by an unknown gang and was murdered," Changach said as quoted by a local daily.
The murder weapon in a form of a sharp object was found at one of the scenes.
"In early hours of the morning at around 5.00 am, the same gang within Katanga market waylaid another watchman who was from duty at Kangundo township and they hacked him with a sharp object. He died on the spot," Changach said.
