President Uhuru Kenyatta has left the country for Kigali, Rwanda.
He left the country even after convening an Azimio Council meeting to deliberate on various key issues of the coalition.
Uhuru is the chairman of the Azimio council and one tasked with convening such meetings.
Raila will now chair the council meeting. He is the party leader of the coalition party.

Speaking ahead of the meeting, Azimio council spokesperson Junet Mohamed said they are sure of victory in the August 9, polls.
Junet said they are meeting to deliberate on ways of strengthening the coalition ahead of the August 9, polls.
"In as far as the presidential election is concerned, we are poised for a huge win on August 9. But we cannot rest on our laurels, we have to continue putting more effort. Today's meeting will ensure that we lay down policies of how we can clinch the majority of MP seats across the country."
