President Uhuru Kenyatta has been challenged to fire Director of Criminal Investigations George Kinoti.
This is after Kinoti announced that he will revisit the 2007/2008 Post-Election Violence cases.
On Tuesday, MPs accompanying Deputy President William Ruto to the funeral of Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri's mother, Edith Ngunjiri called out Kinoti for the move.
Among the leaders, is Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika asked the president to go ahead and fire Kinoti for lacking decency in handling the 2007/2008 PEV.
“Kinoti would either already have been fired or like a decent human being, he would already resign. A man like that with no credibility should not be leading investigations in this country,” Kihika said.

The senator claimed that the DCI boss could even plant evidence against some people.
“Mr. President, rebuking Kinoti is not enough. You need to fire him as an example to the civil servant in this country so that they would know that we have zero tolerance to the people trying to take the country back to 2007/2008,” she said.
Other leaders at the funeral service also condemned Kinoti calling on the Head of State to take action on the DCI boss.
Last week, President Uhuru Kenyatta dismissed Kinoti’s comments on reopening the cases.
The Head of State said such action would amount to reopening old wounds, noting that the country is on recovery mode and that bygones should be bygones.
