A woman and her two children in Narok have died after they were allegedly killed by a class 8 pupil.
The suspect 17-year-old pupil of Kipupu primary school is said to have confessed to killing the woman, who is her aunt, and his two cousins.
Trans Mara West Police boss Hamisi Gonzalla has confirmed the incident.
He said the suspect presented himself at the nearby police station disguising himself as a victim of an attack.
Inconsistencies in his report to the police prompted the officers to doubt his attack claim.

The police are said to have left the station as they walked the boy to the scene of the alleged attack.
It is while on the way to the alleged scene of the crime that they stumbled on the aunt being taken to hospital by a group of people
Gonzalla says the aunt had deep cuts occasioned by stabs on the chest and neck. She was taken to a nearby hospital for medication.
She succumbed to the stab injuries on Sunday.
Police visited the home of the aunt on Monday where they found the dead bodies of the two sons 150 meters from her home.
Gonzalla says they interrogated the boy who admitted that he committed the offense alone.
The boy is said to have been serving a probatory sentence after stealing from the aunt.
"Mshukiwa tulikaa na yeye chini tukamhoji na akakubali alitekeleza mauaji yeye mwenyewe pekee," he said.
The deceased aunt was aged 35 while her sons were aged 10 and 5 respectively.
The boy is said to have committed the offense on Saturday.
Neighbours said they heard screams from the neighbors home but a heavy downpour that hit the area muffled the distress call.
It is after the rains had stopped that they rushed to the homestead only to find a pool of blood. Nobody was present.
The suspect's aunt could also not be seen.
Villagers launched a hunt for the family members as they observed to see what had happened.
Area men took over the matter and they managed to find the woman badly injured.
They rushed her to Kilgoris Hospital where she was treated but she could not make it.
Reports claim her two sons were strangled. They were covered in the mouth before the act was committed.
The bodies of the deceased have been preserved at Kilgoris Mission Hospital.
