Kenya Kwanza presidential running mate Rigathi Gachagua was on Wednesday, July 13, whisked to safety after his rally in Igembe North, Meru County turned chaotic.
In a video seen by Nairobileo.co.ke, supporters present at the rally were engaged in stone throwing leading to the Mathira MP to be moved safety.
A section of youths were seen hurling stones at each other as some supporters scampered to safety following the incident.
Security officials were spotted at the scene but they remained calm as things unfolded with a police Land Cruiser seen parked at the venue.

Sounds of wails were heard even as the supporters left the venue, bringing the rally to a halt.
Barely an hour after the incident, Rigathi took to Twitter to condemn the violence.
"Any person who thinks of using our unemployed youths to cause violence is primitive and will be ashamed by the resounding Kenya Kwanza victory in the next 24 days.
"Thank you Mutuati, Igembe North for making it clear that your support for the Hustler Nation can't be changed," the legislator said.
