"This is our country and we are not going to agree to conflict merely because  one side of this election is going to lose"

Deputy President William Ruto now wants a director of intelligence Maj-Gen Philip Wachira Kameru to unmask the people behind the hate leaflets being spread in the Rift Valley region.

In an attack at the Stae for fanning violence, the DP accused the interior CS Fred Matiang'i and PS Kibicho Karanja of inciting Kenyans.

The DP said they will initiate action against the two leaders saying they have been planting hate among Kenyans.

"Wameona tunaenda kushinda. Wameanza kuprint leaflets kuchochea wakenya waturudishe mahali tumetoka. Nataka niwaambie, vile rais alikemea Kinoti vile alijaribu kuleta mambo ya post-election violence, nataka rais akemee hawa wakora," Ruto said while addressing a rally in Kagio, Kirinyaga county.

"This is our country and we are not going to agree to conflict merely because  one side of this election is going to lose. Nataka nimuulize Generali Kameru, yeye ndo Director of intelligence. He must tell the country who these characters are; the people who want to incite the country against one another. Unless his officers are part  of the scheme."

The DP further said they are focused on pushing the unity of Kenyans forward warning that those fanning hatred and violence will not succeed.
