The woman who temporarily blocked the burial of Matunga MP Justus Murunga was missing from the burial.
Agnes Wangui was nowhere to be seen notwithstanding a court order directing the family to allow her to take part.
She and her two children were not spotted at the MP’s rural home in Savala village or at Makunda Primary School where the funeral service was conducted.
Wangui claimed to be the MP’s mistress and went to court to block the burial.
A court directed that DNA tests be conducted to confirm the paternity of her two children.
In her affidavit, Wangui swore that she met Murunga in 2012 when he was a supervisor at Embakasi Ranching while she was a businesswoman selling beverages and snacks within Ruai area.
The MP's funeral service is underway attended by ODM leader Raila Odinga, Deputy President William Ruto, ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi, Ford-Kenya party leader Moses Wetangula and Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya.
Other leaders who are at service include Bungoma Governor Wycliffe Wangamati, MPs Ayub Savula (Lugari), Benjamin Washiali (Mumias East) among other leaders are also attending the service.
