Chebukati should disqualify himself from presiding over the elections in Kakamega and Mombasa,” Raila stated.
The former Prime Minister’s remarks come after he filed a petition at the Supreme Court challenging the presidential results announced by Chebukati where he declared Deputy President William Ruto President-elect.
Raila maintained that said that his camp was confident that they had enough evidence to show that victory in the recently concluded election belonged to them.
The ODM leader had rejected the presidential results announced by Chebukati on Monday, August 15, promising to explore all constitutional and legal avenues to challenge the results.
