Forty-five governors-elect across the country on Thursday took the oath of office as they assumed office for the next five years.
However, it was keen to note that a number of governors graced the occasions with their spouses and children who witnessed their inauguration.

The former Machakos senator took was also joined by his wife and children during his inauguration as the Machakos Governor on Thursday.
Mutula flaunted his beautiful daughter and son who walked alongside their mother.
Johnson Sakaja
The newly sworn-in Nairobi governor was joined by his wife and children at KICC Nairobi as he took the oath of office.
Sakaja flaunted his two sons and daughter alongside his wife in an event that was attended by President-elect William Ruto.
Anne Waiguru
Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru was joined by his husband, Kamotho Waiganjo, and her children as she was being inaugurated into office.
The second-term governor was sworn in by Lady Justice Hedwig Ong’udi at Kamiigua Youth Polytechnic in Kirinyaga.
James Orengo
The former Siaya Senator took his oath of office on Thursday alongside his wife in a ceremony held at Kenya Medical Training College, Siaya Campus.
Orengo was elected the Siaya Governor on an ODM ticket.
Patrick Ole Ntutu
Former Labour Administrative Secretary Patrick Ole Ntutu took his oath of office as the second Governor of Narok County alongside his wife at the William Ole Ntimama Stadium.
Ntutu in promised to deliver to every village in Narok County as he takes over the county’s leadership.
Abdi Guyo
Former Nairobi County Assembly Majority Leader Abdi Hassan Guyo was sworn in as Isiolo Governor alongside his wife.
Guyo made history by becoming the first MCA to win a governor seat.
Mutahi Kahiga
The Nyeri governor was sworn in alongside his wife in a ceremony held at Asian Quarters Bus Park in Nyeri County.
Kahiga is serving his second term after winning his re-election.
Hillary Barchok
The newly-elected Bomet governor took his oath of office alongside his wife in a ceremony held at Bomet Green Stadium.
Barchok had defended his seat on a UDA ticket after taking over from late Governor Joyce Laboso in 2019.
