The Nigerian business magnate was among the notable foreign dignitaries at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani.

Africa's richest man Aliko Dangote joined other foreign dignitaries on Tuesday, September 13, to grace President-elect William Ruto’s inauguration at Kasarani Stadium, Nairobi.

Donned in a navy blue suit, the Nigerian business magnate sat behind Chief Justice Martha Koome at the VIP section in the stadium.

Dangote is among famous foreign dignitaries including Heads of State attending the inauguration of Kenya’s fifth president.

His estimated net worth is around Ksh1.5 trillion according to Forbes making him the richest man in Africa.

The business magnate is the CEO of the Dangote Group, a Nigerian multi-industry company which employs thousands of people.

He had previously had interest in investing in Kenya before withdrawing his plans.

Meanwhile, Ruto stepped out to attend his inauguration accompanied his wife, Rachel Ruto, his children, June, Nick Charlene, George and Nadia.

His fiercest competitor in the concluded presidential election Raila Odinga did not attend the event stating that he was out of the country attending to serious concerns.

"This evening, I received a letter and a telephone call from H.E Dr. William Ruto inviting me to his inauguration set for tomorrow, September 13, 2022. I regret however that I will not be available for the inauguration because I am out of the country and I also have other serious concerns," Raila stated on Monday.
