The former ruling Jubilee Party has unveiled its nominees for the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA).
In a letter to the National Assembly on Wednesday, November 9, by Jubilee Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni, the party submitted three names.
Kioni, former Kieni MP Kanini Kega and former Kigumo MP Ruth Mwaniki were among the three names submitted by the former President Uhuru Kenyatta-led party.
"In response to a letter received from your office dated 7th November 2022, requesting Jubilee Party to present three names for the election of the 5th Kenya East Africa Legislative Assembly Members, Jubilee Party has nominated Hon. Jeremiah Kioni, Hon. Kanini Kega and Ruth Mwaniki," read the letter by Kioni.
Raila Odinga-led Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) has already submitted six names for nomination to the EALA.

Among the six are Winnie Odinga (Nairobi), Suleiman Shahbal (Mombasa), Mohamed Diriye (Wajir), Timothy Bosire (Nyamira), Beatrice Askul (Turkana) and Justus Kizito (Kakamega).
President William Ruto-led United Democratic Alliance (UDA) nominated 15 names to the East Africa Legislative Assembly.
They include: former nominated MP David Sankok, Mombasa Gubernatorial Aspirant Hassan Omar, Rebecca Merikeju Lowoiya, Zipporah Kering, Godfrey Maina Karobia, Joel Okengo Nyambane, Fredrick Muteti Charles, Falhadha Dekow Iman, Dr. Abdikadir Omar Aden, Anne Too, Jonas Misto V. Kuko, Cyprian Kubai Iringo, Lilian Cheptoo Tomitom, Yasser Ali Sheikh Bajaber, and Salim Mohammed Busidy.
Kenya is represented in the East African Legislative Assembly by nine members. The Kenya Kwanza coalition will receive five of the nine seats, while the Azimio la Umoja coalition will receive four.
