Starlink has launched its portable internet kit dubbed Starlink Mini in Kenya.
The company announced its latest product in the Kenyan market via a statement on Thursday, September 26.
"Starlink Mini is now available in Kenya. Stay connected with high-speed internet at home or on the go," the company said.
Priced at Ksh27,000, the mini kit is a more budget-friendly option for many Kenyans, especially when compared to the standard kit price which costs Ksh45,000 with a monthly subscription starting at Ksh8,000.
Some of the key packages available in the new kit include 50 GB for Ksh1,300 monthly, a Residential Lite package for Ksh4,000, and a high-speed option offering up to 200 Mbps for Ksh6,500.

“Starlink Mini is now live across Kenya. High-speed internet from Ksh1,300/mo,” the firm announced on its website.
Speaking on Tuesday at the Kenya Business and Investment Roundtable in New York, USA, President Ruto addressed Starlink's launch in Kenya.
He mentioned that Safaricom CEO Peter Ndegwa has sometimes been unhappy with him about bringing Starlink to the country.
Safaricom had earlier filed a complaint before the Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) against the licensing of satellite internet providers and wanted the services of foreign satellite internet firms banned.
The Communications Authority responded by stating that Safaricom is welcome to express regulatory concerns regarding independent satellite providers, such as Starlink.
To compete with Starlink, Safaricom has since upgraded its fiber internet packages by offering, for what it termed the first time in Kenya, a gigabit internet service at Ksh 20,000.
