Circklo, a sustainability accelerator, on Tuesday, launched its Pitch Club initiative aimed at seed and series start-ups operating across the digital tech, impact tech, and circularity spectrum.
Circklo’s Pitch Club is the first initiative of its kind in the world, where start-ups pitch before a Panel of Judges solely made up of start-up founders, alumni of Circklo’s own Business Configurator Academy.
On Tuesday, the judges were: Peter Sage, Founder of Suzo Collective, and Chairman of the Judges Panel, Rosa Aygun, Founder of Anqa and Hassan Khadra-Brooks, Founder of TheHive.
The Pitch Club Judges, having successfully graduated from Circklo’s Business Configurator Academy and pitched to more than 40 serial investors, VCs, and multinational executives while “jumping through all the hoops” other start-ups might be facing right now - are all in a unique position to offer insightful and actionable feedback needed to bring other start-up founders’ pitch to the next level.
Circklo goal with startups, Making founders CEOs
The Pitch Club runs monthly, in a virtual setting, and the start-ups who score the highest will qualify for membership to Circklo’s Exclusive Game Changers Community (their admission to the Community will also be completely free of charge) which includes multinational executives, investors, private equity fund managers, experts in sustainability and circular economy as well as academics and various start-up founders from across the globe.
Signing up to take part in Circklo’s Pitch Club contest is absolutely free of charge, and this initiative is fully aligned to Circklo’s philosophy to constantly provide new avenues for start-up founders to support each other’s growth in a safe and supportive environment.
Applications are now open to all founders and co-founders whose start-ups are either in seed or Series A stage, irrespective of their location.
How Judges will Score Start Ups
Circklo’s Pitch Club judges will be scoring the start-ups on:
• The clarity of the issue/problem that the start-up seeks to solve
• The clarity of the solution proposed to solve the problem
• The identification of a market and a clear buyer for the solution proposed
• Their ability to present fact-based assumptions to a panel of potential investors
• The credibility and market readiness of their product/service
• Credibility and strength of the presenter
