Former NTV senior political reporter Kennedy Murithi, who is now Tharaka Nithi Governor Muthomi Njuki's political advisor, on Saturday, February 24, threw a lavish party graced by prominent individuals in the country.
The ceremony, held at Karen, at his wife's home was a follow-up to the dowry payment after his wedding eight years ago.

The star-studded event saw public health PS Mary Muthoni Muriuki headline the event.
Other prominent personalities who graced the event included;
National Assembly majority whip Silvanus Osoro, Embakasi East MP Babu Owino, Kitutu Chache North MP, who is also UDA treasurer Japheth Nyakundi, Mwingi West MP Charles Nguna, former Nairobi governor Anne Kananu, and former Nairobi nominated MCA Doris Kanario headlined the event.
Media personalities included; Emmanuel Juma, Mark Masai, Ben Kitili, Chemutai Goin, Stephen Letoo, Seth Olale, AIbrahim Karanja, Ngina Kirori, Vincent Oduor, Nayioma Sampao, Geff Kirui, Vincent Achuka and Brian Muchiri.
Commenting on the event, Mr. Murithi said, "I am happy that both my wife and my family played a critical role in making the day a success. I got married in 2016 at a church wedding and we had paid the dowry, but remember, dowry haiishi, I was coming to reduce my debt and build a stronger bond between the two families."
