"This offer has no deadline, so take your time."

Radio 47 presenter Alex Mwakideu has denied allegations that he was being paid to paint Indian firm Adani Group in good light.

In a statement on Monday, October 21, Mwakideu challenged anyone with evidence to prove the allegations, offering Ksh1 million as a reward.

The popular radio host added that there was no deadline for the offer, encouraging Kenyans to take their time in gathering the evidence.

"Check all my social media pages, listen to Radio 47, and if you find anywhere that Alex Mwakideu has defended Adani in any way, I’ll give you Ksh1 million in cash. This offer has no deadline, so take your time. All the best!" Mwakideu remarked.

He insisted that he has never been paid by the Indian firm and would never want to be, reiterating that the reports were false.

"This is just to let you know once again that all those Adani rumours are false. I have not been paid by Adani, nor do I want to be paid by them. As for me and my house, we shall reject Adani. Have a lovely day," Mwakideu stated.

This comes after the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA)-Adani deal whistleblower, Nelson Amenya, claimed that Mwakideu had been paid to paint the firm in good light on radio.

Amenya claimed that if Kenyans heard Mwakideu speaking in a manner that seemed to defend Adani, they should understand that he is being paid for it.

"Alex Mwakideu has been paid by Oxygène to paint Adani in good light on radio. If you hear him talking like he's trying to defend Adani, just know he's in on the deal. I'll update you on the strategy they're using shortly, even in mainstream media," Amenya claimed.
