Comedian and radio presenter Felix Odiwuor popularly known as Jalang’o has issued a statement after the police cancelled his much anticipated Luo Festival event.
According to Jalang’o, it is sad to everyone that was involved in the planning, sponsorship and event those who had bought tickets ready to attend the event.
He went on to say that he will reimburse all payments made and everyone who bought a ticket.
The comedian added that a new date will be announced when things are better and also thanked the police and other government agencies that were involved in the planning of the event.

I want to also thank the administrators and government who have walked with us through this journey to realise the success of this event, the presidency, the ministry of health, ministry of interior and National coordination and all the government officials who would have wanted this event to happen. His remarks came after the Nairobi Regional police boss in a statement asked that the event be postponed to a later date because of Covid-19 situation in the country.
“After careful consideration of the prevailing Covid-19 Pandemic and the containment measures in place, the committee hereby requests you to postpone the event until such a time when the current measures are reviewed in favour of physical/in-person Public gatherings and meetings,” read the statement.
