Singing Career

Nbambuki met Debbie Asila at Phoenix Theatre in 1998 and a year later, she met Angela Mwandanda.

They clicked from the start and began performing together. Even after Ndambuki joined University, they still acted together featuring in everything from Jack and the Beanstalk to Cinderella. They also did plays at the French Cultural Centre and British Council.

In 2002, they used to dance for Nameless, and at one time, he replaced them with other dancers and that is when they got the idea of starting their own singing group.

They were three, so the name tatu came to mind, but because they all wanted to get tattoos, they added an extra 't' and a 'u' to tatu to form Tattuu.

The group released their first single "Teso" in 2003 and the song went on to become a huge hit. They since followed it up with other songs including Haiya, Songea, Yu Wapi, Daima, Come Back to Me, Yekeke among others.

They managed to work with some of the top producers in the country including Ogopa, R-Kay, Ulopa, and Musyoka.

Professional Career

Ndambuki was appointed the General Manager of the Performers Rights Society of Kenya (Prisk) in 2009, a role she held until 2012.

She later served as CEO at Prisk between November 2012 and September 2017.

From September 2017 to July 2020, Ndambuki served as the CEO at Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI). She was also the Strategic Advisor for the East African Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (EACCIA).
