The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) in an announcement on Friday indicated that the changes in fuel prices will be effective Friday, October 3 to December 14, 2020.
"Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has adjusted upwards the Excise Duty on Super Petrol, Diesel and Kerosene after taking into account the average inflation rate of 4.94% for the financial year 2019/2020," the EPRA announcement reads in part.
Wholesale dealers for petrol will now be selling super petrol at Ksh97.12 per litre in Nairobi, just 3 shillings higher than those in Mombasa.
