Former Kaloleni MP Gunga Mwinga has died while receiving treatment in hospital.
His family confirmed the demise on Sunday, December 27.
Mwinga died at the age of 45.
The former MP who was a lawyer by profession was the Kaloleni MP between 2013-2017 when he was defeated by Paul Katana.
He defected from Kadu Asili to the Devolution Party of Kenya where he was the chairman and party leader.
According to Mwinga, he had decided to leave the party because “it has lost direction and is now rudderless and operating on an auto-pilot.”
