Former Meru Governor has landed a job in President William Ruto's government.
The former Governor has been appointed the chairman of the board of directors of the National Oil Corporation of Kenya.
He will serve in the role for a period of three years with effect from Thursday, April 20, 2022.
Kiraitu served as Governor of Meru between 2017 to 2022.
He lost in the 2022 General elections to independent candidate Kawira Mwangaza.

Kiraitu vied on his Devolution Empowerment Party ticket. He supported ODM leader Raila Odinga for the presidency.
The Former Governor after losing the August 2022 elections vowed to work with President Ruto going forward.
At the same time, President Ruto has appointed Samwel Ragwa as the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the National Cereals and Produce Board.
He will also serve for a period of three years. His appointment also took effect on Thursday, April 20, 2023.
Also appointed is Kimathi Mbogori who Ruto named as the new Chairperson of the board of directors of the Kenya Veterinary Vaccines Production Institute.
