Rongai Woman Kills Her Two Children, Stabs Husband in the Neck

A woman in Rongai, Kajiado county, has allegedly killed her two children, stabbed her husband and attempted suicide.

The two children were killed after the woman stabbed them.

Police investigating the incident said the woman is in critical condition at the Kenyatta National Hospital where she is undergoing treatment.

She is said to have stabbed herself in the stomach and chest.

The incident happened after an argument in their house along Maasai Lodge Road.

She is said to have stabbed her husband three times in the head and neck.

The husband is said to have escaped the assault and left the house while pleading and calling for help from neighbours.

Neighbours who came to his aid rushed him to the hospital for medication.

Police said the domestic squabble erupted after the husband arrived late in the night past 1 am.

"We were called to the scene and collected the bodies to the mortuary. The couple is admitted to the hospital for attention under security," an officer aware of the incident said.

Kajiado North Police Commander Hussein Gura confirmed the incident and said they recovered the murder weapon.

He said they have launched investigations into the incident.
