PSC Advertises Several ICT Director and Secretary Jobs; How to Apply

The Public Service Commission has advertised 49 positions up for grabs for qualified Kenyans.

In a notice seen by Nairobi Leo, PSC is seeking to recruit an ICT secretary for infrastructure at the State Department for ICT and Digital Economy.

The notice also indicates that the same State Department is in need of an ICT secretary who will be responsible for E-government and Digital economy and another secretary for ICT who will be in charge of security and Audit Control.

ICT secretaries will earn a Basic Salary of between Sh169,140 -  Sh 324,430 p.m ( for the job group (CSG 4). He will be entitled to a house allowance of House Allowance: Kshs.80, 000 p.m, Commuter Allowance: Kshs.24, 000 p.m, Entertainment Allowance: Kshs.65,000 p.m, Extraneous Allowance: Kshs.60,000 p.m, Domestic Servants Allowance: Kshs.15,600 p.m, Leave Entitlement: Ksh.10,000 per annum.

Interested candidates must have served for a minimum period of ten (10) years, three (3) of which should be in the grade of Deputy Director, ICT, CSG ‘6’ and above or in a comparable and relevant position in the wider public service or private sector.

They must have a bachelor's degree in any of the following fields; Computer Science, Computer Technology, Informatics, Business Information Technology (BBIT), Computing Science and Technology, Computer Security and Forensics, Software/ Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications or equivalent qualification from a university recognized in Kenya;

They are also required to have a Masters's degree in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) or in any other related discipline from a university recognized in Kenya and have membership to a relevant professional body.

PSC also indicated that they will be recruiting 10 Directors of ICT at the State Department of ICT and Digital Economy and  34 ICT Directors for other ministries and State Departments.

Directors will earn a basic salary of between  Ksh 133,870 - Ksh 197,800p.m. ( for job group CSG5), a House Allowance: of Ksh 60,000 p.m, a Commuter Allowance of Ksh 20,000 p.m and a Leave Entitlement of Ksh.10,0000 p.a.

They will be provided with medical coverage.
