Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga on Sunday, October 22 met with Maasai women at Bush Resort in Kajiado town.
ODM Party in a statement via X said the former Prime Minister advised the Maasai women to fight for their space in leadership
“Raila Odinga earlier today held a meeting with Maasai Women from various parts of Kajiado County at the Bush Resort in Kajiado town. He told women to fight for their space in the leadership of the country without fear. He was accompanied by Azimio Principals & Governor Joseph Ole Lenku,” read the statement.
Raila also met various candidates who vied for political seats under the Azimio la Umoja coalition in the 2022 general elections.

According to the ODM party, the meeting was important and the leaders committed their support for the opposition coalition.
“Raila Odinga and fellow Principals also met candidates for the various seats who vied on Azimio affiliate parties in Kajiado County. The meeting held under a tree was cordial and the leaders committed their support for Azimio,” ODM added.
Raila is currently attending an interdenominational church service at KCB grounds in Kajiado together with other Azimio leaders including Martha Karua, Kalonzo Musyoka, and Eugene Wamalwa.
The Azimio leader will later have a public meeting with the people of Kajiado.
