The social space however allowed users to continue posting without giving the option of tracking the post afterwards.
Also, the search button remained active but details of a post shared by a specific user could not be displayed.
Numerous reports indicated that tens of thousands of reports were filed on DownDetector, showing how the application was misbehaving globally.
However, Twitter Spaces, where people can take part in voice chat debates, was still functional.
The hitch comes amidst recent changes introduced by Musk on the platform. The billionaire introduced a monetised system through the subscription option.
In the new option, users pay a specific amount and can access more premium content on the platform. Despite facing opposition, the subscription service has picked up in various countries.
UPDATE
Operations, however, resumed normally on X after about 15 minutes.
