KeNHA advised motorists not to overlap to avoid traffic snarl-ups.

The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has announced traffic interruption along the Nakuru-Eldoret highway to allow road repairs. 

In a notice on Tuesday, May 14, the authority stated that the traffic interruption will be experienced at the Nabkoi junction from Tuesday to Wednesday, May 15.

"The Kenya National Highways Authority regrets to inform the public that there will be traffic interruption at Nabkoi Junction along the Nakuru-Eldoret (A8) Road. This is to allow for emergency restoration works at the said section of the Road," read part of the notice.

KeNHA advised motorists not to overlap as the restoration was being carried out to avoid traffic snarl-ups.

The authority further indicated that a diversion had been provided for motorists and a proper signage to guide traffic.

"A diversion has been provided and signage installed to guide traffic. Additionally, traffic police assisted by traffic marshals are on site for further directions," the notice added.

KeNHA maintained that it is committed to ensuring seamless connectivity to facilitate the safe passage of goods and services for economic prosperity.

Several roads across the country have been destroyed by the massive rains that have been pounding the country since last month.

KeNHA has been prompt in issuing alerts to motorists and other road users in such instances.
