Chomba served as the Huruma ward MCA from 2020 to 2022 after the death of her husband Peter Chomba who was the then MCA but passed on during his second term.

Lucy however failed to retain the Huruma Ward seat during the 2022 general elections.

Her husband reportedly collapsed in the house during the COVID-19 pandemic and was pronounced dead at the Eldoret hospital.
