Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga has announced support for the one man one vote one shilling revenue sharing formula.
Addressing the media on Thursday, June 6 after meeting the conveners of the Limuru III conference at Chungwa house in Nairobi, Raila said the one man one vote one shilling formula would ensure fair distribution of resources in the country.
The former Prime Minister noted that it was time for a discussion on the distribution of resources in Kenya.
“This is a conversation that if we have it openly we will be able to convince the majority of our people that this is the right way to go and that is why in the BBI we had proposed it,” said Raila.
He added, “Some people don’t want to hear it but we want to ensure that every Kenyan is equally treated that is why we are saying one man one vote one shilling, I agree totally with this, I am not a populist, I always talk my mind openly.”

At the same time, Raila lauded the organizers of the Limuru III conference saying similar discussions should be across the nation.
Further, the ODM leader poked holes in the Finance Bill 2024 saying the proposals in the bill would add more burden to Kenyans.
“Kenyans are hurting seriously, currently and the proposals contained in the Finance Bill 2024 are going to add a lot of burden on the people of Kenya,” he added.
The Limuru III conference was held on May 17 by a section of leaders from the Mt Kenya region.
During the meeting, the leaders launched a new political coalition dubbed the Haki Coalition that aims to push for the "one man, one vote, one shilling" revenue-sharing formula.
