Three people including a police officer have lost their lives after a grisly accident along the Kisii-Migori highway.
The accident happened on Saturday, June 15 at around 4 am just outside the Choma Choma Lounge club.
The driver of the lorry which was heading to Migori is reported to have lost control and rammed into several vehicles and pedestrians who were walking out of the club.
A police officer attached to Nyachwa police station, the driver of the lorry, and a pedestrian died on the spot.
Seven others including two police officers sustained serious injuries and were rushed to hospital for immediate medical care.

The morning accident caused huge traffic along the Kisii-Migori highway and it took hours for the police to clear it.
The police have also launched investigations into the gruesome accident.
This comes a day after a bus full of passengers overturned at the Gof Chopa area along the Marsabit-Moyale highway.
The bus which is registered under Soores Sacco lost control and veered off the road before it overturned. As a result, the four passengers were killed on the spot while 41 others were injured.
Marsabit County Police Commander Nyambu Mwakio confirmed the accident noting that the deceased were two men, a woman and a young girl.
The injured were rushed to the Marsabit County Referral Hospital for treatment while the bodies of the deceased were moved to the same facility's morgue.
