The Spouse of the Deputy President Pastor Dorcas Rigathi has gifted 25-year-old Wilson Kungu from Kiambaa, Kiambu County with a motorbike.
In a statement sent to the newsrooms on Wednesday, July 10, Kungu was gifted the motorbike after successfully completing rehabilitation from alcohol and drug abuse under the community-based rehabilitation program implemented by the Dorcas Rigathi Foundation (DRF) in partnership with a church in the area.
Kungu had requested the motorbike on February 1 2024 during a medical camp for screening against addictions in Kiambaa organized by Pastor Dorcas.

“I will ply the Ruaka, Banana, Kawaida, and Kiambaa routes, and also become a member of the Rubis Bodaboda Sacco. I have been riding a rented bike, but I will now ride my own. I do not know what to say, I am so happy. Thank you Pastor Dorcas,” said Kungu.
The beneficiary’s mother Mary Njeri who was also present thanked Pastor Dorcas for supporting her son to become independent after the rehabilitation.
“My son will now become independent and raise his family well. Kungu is my last born. He was abusing alcohol and weed, but look at the miracle God has brought into his life after he has reformed,” added the mother.
Among those transformed under the community-based rehabilitation program were Isaac Mwai, Peter Kanyoro, and Lawrence Karanja who are now recovering coaches reaching out to those in addiction in the constituency.
Pastor Dorcas works on an end-to-end rehabilitation program for those with addictions that involves rehabilitation, skilling and reskilling, and placement into employment, business, and entrepreneurship opportunities.
