High Court judge David Majanja has passed on.
Majanja, who is also a member of the Judicial Service Commission, died on Wednesday evening, July 10, at a Nairobi Hospital.
Sources within the Judiciary confirmed to Nairobileo.co.ke that Justice Majanja died after undergoing surgery.
The surgery is said to have been successful but things turned worse later resulting in his death.
Justice Majanja was appointed High Court Judge in 2011.

He has served at Homa Bay, Migori, Kisumu, and Kisii High Courts.
He has also served at the Commercial and Tax Divisions and Milimani High Court Civil Division.
In terms of education, Justice Majanja had a Master of Laws (LLM) degree in International Trade and Investment Law in Africa, from the University of Pretoria (2005).
Justice Majanja pursued his Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree at the University of Nairobi and graduated in 1996.
The High Court Judge had a Post Graduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya Kenya School of Law.
He was admitted to the Bar in 1998.
