Enough is Enough - President Ruto Warns Gen Z and Millennials

President William Ruto has warned the Gen Z and millennial protesters affirming that the Government will not allow violent protests. 

Speaking on Sunday, July 21, the Head of State affirmed that the country is more important than a group of people. 

"They said they didn't want the Finance bill, so I dropped it. I called them, but they declined and invited me to X. I went there, and they disappeared. I have called for a dialogue, but they have declined and continue to say they are faceless and formless. My friends, I have given everyone a chance to say what they want, but it cannot continue like this. The country is much more important than any group of people," remarked Ruto. 

He added, "Enough is enough, going forward we will protect the nation, property, and life and we will stop looters, mayhem, and anarchy because Kenya is a democracy and we want a peaceful nation. It is going to stop." 

At the same time, President Ruto asked those hiding under the youth to 'destabilise' the country to come forward and provide their alternative plan for the country.

"Our plans to transform education, health, agriculture, energy, water and infrastructure, among others, are known. These others should tell us what their plans are instead of hiding behind violence," President Ruto said.

He said the time has come for the so-called "leaderless, faceless and formless" group to present their alternative agenda instead of engaging in destructive demonstrations.

"We are going to be firm in protecting this country from anarchy. I want to challenge those who are funding or sponsoring the violence to step forward and give us their views on how to take this country forward," he said.

Ruto emphasised the need for Kenyans to jealously guard peace, saying some individuals were hiding behind the youth to cause anarchy.
