Activist Boniface Mwangi and four other co-accused have been released on a Sh 20,000 cash bail each.
Mwangi was released on Friday, July 26 after Milimani principal magistrate Gilbert Shikwe rejected the Directorate of Criminal Investigation’s application to hold the suspects for 21 days.
The four co-accused include; Albert Wambugu, Robert Otieno, Pablo Chacha, and Erot Franco.
"Having considered submissions by both the prosecution and the defence, I find that there are no compelling grounds to deny the accused bail. I hereby grant them a cash bail of Sh20,000 each," Shikwe ruled.

The five suspects were arrested on Thursday, July 25 and booked at Central Police Station.
They are being accused of inconveniencing road users by blocking the road during the anti-government protests on Thursday, July 25.
The police also claim that Mwangi and his co-accused posted allegations on social media that the government was out to kill citizens.
"In light of the foregoing, I pray this honourable court to issue custodial orders authorising holding of the respondents in the applicant's custody for 21 days to enable the applicant to conclude its investigations," the DCI told the court.
The investigative agency noted that investigations into the crimes were ongoing to establish the motive for carrying the various items with which they were arrested.
