IPOA confirmed that once the investigation is concluded, it will recommend appropriate action regarding the incident.

"Upon conclusion of the investigation, IPOA will recommend action, including but not limited to prosecution of officers if culpability is established," IPOA remarked.

Protests rocked Multimedia University in Ongata Rongai, Kajiado County, on Tuesday, which prompted the deployment of anti-riot police officers to restore order after the students barricaded roads.

Later in the day, a video made rounds on social media depicting police officers harassing a seemingly youthful individual inside the university before dropping a tear gas canister next to him.
